The world is loud. Cities hum, notifications ping, and silence has become a luxury. Meanwhile, forests are shrinking, rivers are drying up, and the sounds of nature — the ones our bodies were built to rest to — are disappearing.
Sleepy started as a personal project. I'm just a tech hobbyist, not a company, not a startup. I wanted to build something that lasts — a small piece of the internet that quietly does good.
The idea is simple: collect real recordings of the natural world, curated by people who care, and make them freely accessible to anyone who needs to slow down, sleep, or just breathe for a moment.
Every sound submitted here is a little act of preservation — a reminder that these places exist, that they matter, and that they're worth protecting.
Built with care by one person, for everyone. — Sleepy
